Let me just say, award-winning ang araw na ito.

-------------------------------------

I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and I couldn't go back to sleep. Just fine, right? Not if your class
is at 9:00 in the morning. Anyway, I did need to get to school early because I have yet to
pay my tuition. So at 8:00 a.m., I got all my stuff, started my car, and headed off. A few
minutes later, I realized that the reason why I was sweating like a pig even though I have
turned on the air conditioning was that the air cooling function wasn't working. Great.
Perfect for summer.

I came to school at around 8:10 and there was hardly anyone in line at the AS Lobby.
Luckily, I arrived just in time for the flag ceremony (the first time I actually had the
opportunity to attend one at that particular building). Minus around 6-8 minutes for the
ceremony, and around 15 for the time I spent paying my tuition. I was all set by 8:30. But
I still wasn't the first one to arrive in class. I guess some people had more time in their
hands than me.

So then, we all settled into our seats (along with Diane, Ys, Olan, Rica and Edi) and
waited for our Socio 101 professor. He was a bit late (he came at around 9:30) which suited
Edi just fine since she was also a bit late. He gave the classcards then finally, he gave
us the big news: SOCIOLOGY 101 = RESEARCH! Wow! He then started talking about how a lot of students don't know how to write an introduction, review of related lit (ka-ching!), conceptual framework (ching ching ching ching!)... Whew! I thought I was going to get a research break this summer! Good thing we took up Socio! Never mind that I am going to do my TV internship this summer which means I probably won't have any time to do any kind of research (even though it is just a proposal)! Never mind that the freakin' class is from 9:00 - 11:00, after which I'll do my internship which then means that I only have from
8:00-9:00 a.m. to do my library work! Research is SO MUCH FUN!(And in case you guys don't get it, I'm being sarcastic.)

And speaking of internship ...

Let me just clear things up before I go on. I AM NOT MAD. I'm just a bit pissed off. That's different. Clear?

So. I actually wasn't supposed to do my internship this summer. I also wasn't supposed to
take up Socio. I enlisted at Psych 101 and P.I. 100 through CRS. And because I am just
naturally lucky, I didn't get any. So instead of Psych, I manually enlisted at Socio.
However, I swore to myself and anything else I could swear on that I will get P-- I-- even
if it's the last thing I do. So along with around a hundred people who were just as lucky
as I am, we lined up for two days in hopes that the people at the Filipino department will
finally feel sorry for us poor people and open new sections, or at least take us in at the
other sections. At around 1:00 p.m. on the 2nd day, hopes were a bit higher because there
was news that there will be another P-- I-- section opening up. However, at around 2:00,
one professor from the Filipino department said that there was no chance that they will be
opening up a new section, and that they will only take in graduating students in the
existing classes. Since it will be a whole year before I graduate, I decided along with a
friend of mine who will simply remain nameless that we will just take up our internship
already, even though it wasn't in our plans. So we went back to our college and enlisted.
And then, because I am just so incredibly lucky I just couldn't believe it, a new section
of P-- I-- opened up. ASIDE FROM THAT
(Gosh, when will my luck run out? Not anytime soon, I hope!), a friend of mine sent me a message asking if I want to take her P-- I-- slot
because she was transferring to a new section. Just when I was finished enlisting in the
internship class. Just when I was finished having my adviser sign my Form 5. Just when I
was finished with assessment. Life's just too kind.

Anyway, come today, I've moved on. I've accepted the fact that this summer is not the time
for me to take this freaking subject. Anyway, it would be better if I took the subject
under the professor I want, right? So there. It was over. But, ta-da! ANOTHER section
opened up! And of course my friend who will remain nameless grabbed the opportunity and
prerogged in the class, leaving our internship behind.

No, of course I'm not mad. Even though I gave up taking this subject I particularly liked
because you didn't meet the prerequisite for that subject and ended up in another research subject which I absolutely adore, I'm not mad. Even though I didn't take up the P-- I-- slot that was being offered to me because it was only for one person and of course I didn't want to leave you without a slot, of course I'm not mad.

Like I said, I'm just a bit pissed off. That's different.

-------------------------------------------------

Not everything is bad today, actually. Today's our 43rd (that's right, count them!)
monthsary (or 3 years and 7 months). So, I went to Makati to meet Jameson who came from his internship orientation at the Renaissance Hotel. After walking around trying to decide
where to eat dinner, we finally settled at Chowking at SM Makati. Afterwards, I bought a
tank top at the department store then went home.

Oh, and I spilled a bit of iced tea on myself at Chowking. Well, more like the whole glass
actually. Hence the reason for the impromptu tank top shopping.

What can I say? It's my lucky day.

------------------------------------------------

To No Parking: Good luck on your gig tomorrow. Will sincerely try to be there. Bam, please
take good care of Yael (a.k.a. Roro's guitar). Try not to scratch him.

-----------------------------------------------

Oh, and remeber my problem with air conditioning? There wasn't really a problem at all. I just forgot to push a button. One damn button.
